Walking 2B Social is all about helping people break the habits of isolation, helping individuals take important first steps to joining in with other people and broadening their social group. Walking with someone else, sharing opinions and feelings can build relationships that facilitate real personal change. Walking and talking together is proving to be an essential part of many people's mental health maintenance strategy during the pandemic. If someone doesn't yet have that friendly person to walk with on a regular basis or it may be that their regular walking partner(s) aren't free at the same time as themselves the Walk 2B Social will bridge that gap and link people into appropriate groupings.
Our Walk 2B Social programme will provide a series of opportunities to get out and walk with new people.
Our friendly and knowledgable leaders will take a group of people for a walk and encourage them to walk, talk, swap ideas and viewpoints with others and generally mix that social brew!
We may take along a range of different outdoor stoves and make a brew where can sit and mull things over.
These walks will take place from convenient public meeting places as soon as Covid-19 restrictions are eased to allow them.
