Communities
Inspiring engagement with nature to support positive physical and mental well-being.
Who are our communities?
Team M2C aim to build many communities, particularly by encouraging and supporting a network of ‘change-makers’ who will work within their own communities to help people engage with nature and support positive physical and mental well-being.
We can work with individuals and groups to empower people to share the benefits of outdoor activities. There are no constraints. Anyone who is interested and ready, can become a change-maker.
Examples of key groups and individuals we’re likely to work with range from personal individuals living with poorer physical and mental health right through to corporations looking to support those working remotely/dispersed workers who are distant from their place of employment and colleagues and for whom current and future working practices may have a negative effect on their mental health and well being.
Who else can we support?
- Isolated/locked down individuals experiencing loneliness and for whom Covid-19 is having a disproportionate mental health impact
- Individuals/families with recent experience of loss and or bereavement
- School groups looking to encourage engagement and resilience/relationship building
- Educational institutions seeking CPD for employees related to resilience, confidence building and how to bring the benefits of nature into the curriculum
- Individuals experiencing recent or long term unemployment
- Young people (aged 5-18) who will benefit from resilience and confidence building
- Young adults (aged 18-25) seeking meaningful progression
