Schools-Parents-Students Challenge Events
These full day or half day fun events are delivered within school grounds to provide energising and enjoyable activities for students that can involve parents and or school staff. These events build new relationships and understanding between students, parents and staff. .These taskmaster type days are often utilised by schools for on-boarding new year groups and half or end of term events. They can be designed to develop leadership, communication, cooperation, problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills, to achieve school goals and provide evidence for OFSTED and Duke of Edinburgh Awards. The fact that they are also a massive boost of jointly owned fun is purely incidental!
Event Structure
The M2C team, often supported by school staff/parents, design and deliver a ‘round-robin’ of challenge activities with points awarded for completion of each task leading to an overall ‘winning team’. Frequently these challenges see teams of students competing against staff and/or parents with valuable relationship building and better understanding achieved for all.
Activities
Activities are physically inclusive, involve elements of teamwork and co-operation between everyone and generate an enjoyable atmosphere conducive to building a positive community.
